Recently, we have upgraded our customer from AX 2012 R2 to Dynamics 365 version 10.0. Few days later, customer reported an issue that they were unable to view credit card transactions on “Add unattached expenses” form.
There was no customization in this area so we reported the issue to Microsoft. They advised to debug the issue as the issue was not reproducible in demo environment. I debugged the issue multiple times, but no luck. Furthermore, Microsoft suggested that it could be a configuration issue and when I asked them to explain what configuration it could be related to, Microsoft support personnel failed to explain.
After all of the above effort, I tried to find this in LCS issue search once more and found the exact same bug when upgrading from 7.2 to 10.0.2. The resolution was in 10.0.5 release, so I installed this release in TEST environment and guess what, I was able to see the credit card transactions on “Unattached expenses” form. So, if you encounter the same issue, make sure that you have 10.0.5 or higher update installed in your environment.
I hope this information would save you hours and hours that I have spent to get to this resolution.
