Power Apps Portals - Following are the features which will be deprecated starting June 2022 in Portals
- Changes to OAuth 2.0 implicit grant flow 2.0
- Entity List OData Feed Option
- Portals Runtime content editor
- Yahoo auth provider support
- Lucene.net based Search.
Power Apps for Windows will be deprecated and replaced with a new app
- On June 20, 2022, Power Apps for Windows will be renamed to Power Apps for Windows 8.
- After Sept 20, 2022, the app will be removed from the Microsoft Store, and will no longer be supported.
- The new app will be renamed from Power Apps (Preview) to Power Apps.
JULY 2022
Dynamics 365 Sales | Premium auto capture will be deprecated
Effective July 2022, premium auto capture will be deprecated.
- The deprecation will impact customers who have enabled the premium auto capture preview.
- This feature enables users to get activity and contact suggestions.
- You can switch to basic auto capture to get activity suggestions.

SEPTEMBER 2022
Power Apps for Windows will be deprecated and replaced with a new app
Effective September 2022, Power Apps for Windows will be deprecated. Microsoft will continue to provide security and other critical updates for the app until Sept 20, 2022.

OCTOBER 2022
Dynamics 365 Connector is deprecated
In October 2022, all existing uses of the Dynamics 365 connector for data integrations, flows, Logic Apps, and canvas apps will be disabled.

Dynamics 365 Customer Service | SLA items in Web Client are deprecated. Removal scheduled &
Dynamics 365 Customer Service | Automatic Record Creation Rules in Web Client are deprecated.
Effective October 01, 2020, the service-level agreements (SLAs) are deprecated in the web client.
- Effective October 01, 2020, the automatic record creation and update rules are deprecated in the web client.
- You are encouraged to migrate your SLA items that were created in the web client to the new Unified Interface experience.

NOVEMBER 2022
Dataverse OData v2.0 Service removal
We plan to remove the Dataverse OData v2.0 Organization Data Service on November 11, 2022.
- The Organization Data Service was deprecated with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement v8.0 in favor of the Web API, an OData v4.0 service.
- Any code that uses the Organization Data Service should be migrated to use the Web API before that time.
- This announcement does not involve the deprecated Organization Service SOAP endpoint.
Data Export Service (DES) is deprecated
Data Export Service will continue to work and will be fully supported until it reaches end-of-support and end-of-life a year from this announcement date, in November 2022.
- This notice is to allow you sufficient time to plan and onboard to Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse which is a successor to Data Export Service.
The Playbook will guide them through the initialization, planning, and adoption phases.

- After a release cycle has been made "generally available" to users, environments are typically automatically turned on. This is so users can receive ongoing mandatory updates which will enable the early access features and general available features of the release.

Announcing the general availability of canvas components and component libraries
- General availability (GA) of canvas components and component libraries.
- Canvas components enable low code/no-code developers to build reusable UX components using default Power Apps controls as core building blocks.
- These custom components can then be shared across app screens or multiple apps both within and across Power Apps environments.
Announcing general availability of Power Apps for Windows
- General availability (GA) of our new Power Apps application for Windows.
- With the new Power Apps for Windows, you get device capabilities like camera, microphone, file picker, barcode scanning, geo-location, and many others.
- For everyone else, you just have to install the brand new “Power Apps” application from the Microsoft Store.
Announcing the general availability of Power Apps modern commanding
- General availability (GA) of modern commanding with Power Fx is now generally available (GA).
- Modern commanding provides a maker friendly low-code/no-code experience for customizing model-driven app command bars – with the first ever in-product command designer and the ability to use Power Fx (or JavaScript) for expressing business logic.
General Availability of the new Dataverse experiences on Power Apps
- Updated list of tables: We have updated the list of tables to make it simpler to find what you need with extensive support for filtering, sorting, search and have provided some key pivots on this list.
- Table hub: A view lets you simply update data in a spreadsheet-style mode, and just like a spreadsheet-style. You can quickly add new columns here too.
- What is using this table: Locate apps and flows using a specific table.
Dataverse Service Client is now Generally Available
- This new Dataverse Service Client SDK has the following capabilities, which enables the community to extend the value of their applications:
- Cross platform SDK based on .net core, Removed Dynamic Dependencies, Works with the Dataverse Web API, Targets cloud only Dataverse instances.
PRO DEVELOPER | Power Platform Command Line: New Updates (April Refresh) v1.15.x
- The monthly refresh of the Power Platform Command line share information about the new features including:
- Solution command updates, Packaging updates, Administration improvements.
PRO DEVELOPER | Power platform Developer tools May Refresh
- This May refresh comes with capabilities ranging from:
- Support for single sign-on.
- Showing whether solutions are managed or unmanaged when listing out the solutions.
- Support for packages that hold .cab files.
Power Apps Portals Product Updates
Configure the rich text editor control on portals
- Configure Power Apps portals to add the rich text editor control to a basic form and then add the basic form to a web page.
- Portal users will be able interact with the rich text editor control to format text on the form.
Configure column permissions
- In portals, table permissions are used to apply security to individual Dataverse table records.
- You can add column permissions to individual table columns. Column permissions are an optional configuration that you associate with web roles.
Configure Dataverse search in portals (preview)
- Dataverse search delivers fast and comprehensive search results sorted by relevance in portals.
- Dataverse search is the same search service used in model-driven apps and other Microsoft Power Platform services built on Microsoft Dataverse.
Configure a choices column on portals
- Makers can design basic forms and advanced forms to include choices columns defined in Microsoft Dataverse.
- This feature provides the ability for portal users to select multiple options while submitting data, and display views that include choices columns through lists.
Overview of portals as progressive web apps
- You can enable your functional portal as a progressive web app (PWA), with native app–like look and feel, by using Power Apps portals Studio.
- With this feature, Power Apps portals now supports using progressive web app technology to provide multiplatform support to create an app that will work on all platforms (Android, iOS, Windows, and Chromebooks) and form factors (mobile, desktop, and tablet).
Power Automate Product Updates
Making application lifecycle management (ALM) easier in Power Automate
- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) is the end-to-end lifecycle management of applications and automations, including considerations like governance, development, and maintenance.
- Power Automate has two categories of enhancements that are improving the ALM story:
- Solution cloud flow improvements
- Core ALM improvement.
Automate unstructured documents like contracts with AI Builder
- Here is the biggest update yet to our Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) capabilities for Power Automate by adding support, in preview, for unstructured document processing.
- With AI Builder document processing (formerly, form processing) and Power Automate, many organizations have been able to easily automate the extraction of information from structured and semi-structured documents such as invoices, purchase orders, application forms, surveys, delivery orders, tax forms, and many others.
Change owner of a solution flow
- You can now reassign a solution flow to a new owner from the Power Automate portal.
- This feature enables owners, co-owners, and admins to change the owner of a solution flow to enable business continuity when the original owner is switching teams or leaving the organization.
- You can change the owner to an individual or an Azure Active Directory service account.

Power BI Product Updates
ENHANCED REFRESH WITH THE POWER BI REST API IS NOW GENERALLY AVAILABLE
- General Availability of Enhanced refresh with the Power BI REST API (formerly asynchronous refresh) in Power BI Premium, Power BI Premium per User, and Power BI Embedded.
- By using the enhanced refresh REST API, you can leverage built in features for refresh management, reliability, and granularity.

UPDATES TO FULL REPORT ATTACHMENTS FOR EMAIL SUBSCRIPTIONS IN PREMIUM GEN2
- With email subscriptions, you have the option to include a full report as a PDF or PowerPoint attachment if the report is saved in a Premium capacity or Premium Per User (PPU) workspace.
- There are several updates coming to email subscriptions that use full report attachments that we want to make you aware of.
- Extending full report attachments to fifty pages –
- Full report attachments in the Premium Gen2 metrics app
- Deprecation of full report attachment in the original version of Power BI Premium (August 2022)

- The dataset details page helps you explore, monitor, and leverage datasets.
- When you click on a dataset in the data hub, a workspace, or other place in Power BI, the details page for that dataset opens. The dataset details page enables you to perform several actions.

Dataverse Advanced Audit Log Deletion using the BulkDelete API
- Flexible audit data management was introduced recently and has benefits over the previous method.
- There is no longer a requirement to delete entire partitions from oldest to newest. The feature in Power Platform Admin Center allows the flexibility of deleting Audit history for a Table, Access Related or all audit history up to a specified data.
- Although, the new capabilities are exciting there are scenarios that currently not possible in the UI.
- For Advanced Scenarios we can also use the BulkDelete API
