LCS - Invalid class name 'WorkflowApprovalHistoryEntity' during dev environment update

While trying to update a cloud hosted dev environment from 10.0.40 to 10.0.43 in LCS, I get the following error in Step25dbsync.error log:

Infolog diagnostic message: 'Query extended range failure: Invalid class name 'WorkflowApprovalHistoryEntity'..' on category 'Error'.

As a sidenote, the environment uses Visual Studio 2019.

Hi,

Instead of updating your CHE, you can also consider deploying a new VM with version 10.0.43. You can then connect to DevOps and get latest.
In case you need the data from your previous VM, you can create a backup on the old VM and restore it in the new one. Then be aware that the database will need a database sync and it will run some update scripts.

Hi EK-26061005-0,

A few questions:

1. Are there any customizations on the table WorkflowTrackingTable, WorkflowTrackingStatusTable, WorkflowTrackingCommentTables that are used as data sources in the WorkflowApprovalHistoryEntity?

2. Have you downloaded the log from the environment landing and checked what the log exactly states?

VS2019 is not the issue in here. Looks like the issue is either the usage of deprecated fields in the custom component extension of this data entity or some custom class that leverages this data entity.

You need to check that this entity has not been extended, perhaps there's an ambiguity with the extended class !
