Hi,

Scenario: Company accounting currency: EUR.

Expense Payment method : Expense owner - Employee, Offset account type - Worker. Expense catogery account - Misc Expenses.,

Date 1/Jun/25 Advance given to employee 100 USD. Exchange USD 100 : Euro 75

Cash advance booking in expense management. Entry Cash advance account debit USD 100 (Euro 75), Vendor (Employee) Cr. USD100 (Euro 75)

Vendor payment journal. - Vendor dr. 100, Bank Cr. 100 USD. (Euro 75)

Date 7/Jun/25 Expense submitted. Exchange USD 100 : Euro 80

Expense report submitted. USD 100, Euro 80.

Entry =

Misc Expenses. Dr USD 100 (Euro 80)

Cash advance account Cr. 93.75 USD (Euro 75)

Accounts payable Cr. 6.25 USD (Euro 5)

Issue: Instead of posting the Exchange gain for Euro 5, It has created a Euro 5 credit entiry in Employee Vendor account, which does not required to pay. USD 100 given to employee and he spend USD 100. Its in Euro currency, not in USD. Is there any functionality in D365 to generate auto exchange gain loss.
