Managed solution uninstall error

Advice on how to proceed I have imported managed solution multiple times as new version each time.

A colleague recreated a field on the Lead table from choice to multi choice with similar name.

The unmanaged solution source only has the one mapping however we are now getting this error:

When I check in the default solution in the target managed solution environment it has both mappings within Lead to Account relationship.

Any advice on how to proceed?

  1. Delete mapping in target
  2. Delete last installed version
  3. Import new version

  1. Delete mapping in target
  2. Try to delete earlier version that failed uninstall

Correct I went with method 2 and it worked.

I was confused as to why the mapping was in the target as it should have been removed in the update or potentially an earlier update, who knows solutions black magic....

    Hi antc,

Solution cannot be deleted due to dependencies from other components in the system error occurs when deleting a solution in Microsoft Dynamics 365: Solution cannot be deleted - Dynamics 365 Sales | Microsoft Learn

So I think you need to delete the mapping to remove the dependency.
