Hi,
I have default financial dimensions on vendor master. While importing the transaction through General Journal data entity, I am selecting Account type as - Vend and keeping default financial dimension as auto default in mapping. Data import is successful but after the import financial dimension are not coming to journal lines for vendor from vendor master. Dimension are blank. Am i missing something. please guide.

    HiAndre Arnaud de C..,
    Thanks for reply.
I am working on an import integration, where from the source system financial dimension for vendors are not available. I want to import via 'General journals' data entity and on journal lines, I want the vendor dimension defaulted from Vendor master.
    I tried all these options:
    1. keep DEFAULTDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE column in data entity but the values will be blank as source data is not available   or
    2. keep DEFAULTDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE column in data entity and in data management mapping keep column as Auto default  or
    3. not keep the DEFAULTDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE column in data entity.
I have checked all options but while importing none of these are brining the vendor dimension from vendor master on line.

What could be the solution to bring vendor master financial dimension on General journal lines where the journals are imported via 'General journal' entity.
Due to some reasons I could not use vendor invoice journals.

    Hi D365 User,

Can you explain what exactly you mean with "keeping default dimension as auto default in mapping"? What columns do you have in your source file? Is the column DefaultDimension included or not?

    Hi,
This document describes how to set rules for financial dimension values on transactions entered through financial journals and shows symptom and resolution on this. Examples where financial dimension values are not set as expected on accounts or offsetting accounts within financial journals are mentioned:
A voucher is entered in a journal a general journal. The Account is a vendor Account, and the Offset account is a bank Account. The vendor's financial dimensions are entered by default on the Account, but the bank's financial dimensions aren't entered by default on the Offset account. Instead, the dimension values from the Account are entered by default on the Offset account.
For more detailed information, you can check the description of the official documentation.

    Hello Komi Siabi
    ,
Yes it is enabled. It is working fine for account type 'ledger' but not working for account type 'Vend'.

    Hello User,

Please check the  Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications setup to confirm the financial dimensions you selected.
