Wells Fargo payment manager export

Hi, I am researching ways of building a specific payment export from Business Central. The documentation around the data exchange definition is not very helpful. I'd like to build a flat file export from Business Central that has the details of each payment, as well as the invoices that it is applied to. Has anyone ever built an export for Wells Fargo Payment Manager? I would like to modify one of the existing formats if possible.

Thanks,

Mike

The mapping is pretty straightforward, what are you struggling with? Maybe some screenshots and examples would let us help you better.

Has anyone successfully created the data exchange definition for the Wells Fargo Payment Manager?  I am struggling with the field mappings.

Yes and no. It could be done with a custom xmlport but I did it with a simpler report in AL code. Email me mscalamogna@opalbiz.com and I can share more of the details with you.

Were you successful in finding a solution? It is unique because it includes all payment types, not just ACH or checks, which makes it difficult.  Has anyone built out a data exchange or found an ISV connector for it?

    Mike,

OK, you want to use the EFT IAT or EFT default one then. These should match the NACHA format that Wells Fargo has given you to mirror their service. Attached is one they might have supplied you with. In the export, the remittance information appears in addenda record type 7. This holds the invoice documents being paid. Compare what Wells provides to the Data Exchange and you might have to tweak a little, but this will meet what you need.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi Steve - thanks for the reply. The payment manager service is used to cut checks and send electronic payments. I am looking in more detail at the EFT IAT export format that comes with the Cronus database and I think that this may actually work. It has an addenda record that shows the invoice which is being paid.

    Mike,

I have not worked with export to Wells Fargo Payment Manager but I have created Positive Pay and NACHA exports to Wells. The Data Exchange File Definition is not complicated but my question is what does Wells Fargo Payment Manager want to see. Are you using there service actually pay the invoices (cut checks/ach)?

I think the export you want is better suited as a customization since you are exporting a unique request. Positive Pay export does not show invoices so I would ask your partner to create an extension for this specific export using the layout Wells provided. I would give the ability to create the file after I posted my Payment Journal so the export matches my posting.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
