Error login to Plugin Registration Tool with MFA enabled.

Our organization has MFA enabled for login to Dynamics CRM Online which works fine when login to CRM but have issues with Tools like Plugin Registration Tool and XRM Tool Box.

I already have System Administrator/System Customiser CRM role. When login to Plugin Registration Tool it doesn't  provide any MFA alert and throws error as in image below.

"Error    : You don't have permission to access any of the organizations in the Microsoft Common Data Service region that you specified. If you're not sure which region your organization resides in, choose "Don't know" for the CDS region and try again. Otherwise check with your CDS administrator."

I have tried login with uncheck the Show Advanced options but still the same error when providing the credentials from Microsoft authentication dialog.

Please let me know if the issue is with MFA enabled or any other configuration/permission related to login.

Thanks everyone. Finally I came to know that issue was not with MFA. It was a guest user which I was trying to login. Though the guest user was having System customizer and System Admin CRM roles assigned. Not sure why Guest users can't login the Plugin registration tool.

This may not be a foolproof solution but a workaround. Try to login to the same organization using Edge/IE and then try to login to plugin tool. It actually worked for.

Still, I am looking for the reason why that error was thrown to me. Please update if anyone gets an answer to that.

    Hi Partner,

Can you confirm if the affected tool is installed in the local drive and not on the network drive,

Additionally can you check and refer the article community.dynamics.com/.../plugin-registration-configuration-migration-tool-login-issue-behind-proxy-server

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Akash

Thanks Akash, I tried that too but still same error. The MS login screen never asks for two factor authentication after entering credentials. It just disappears and Plugin registration show same error. Might be I am missing any admin level setting at MFA and SDK access.

    HI Partner,

Please leave the Username and password field Blank and click on Next. If you leave these fields blank, when you click Login, you will get taken to the Microsoft Log-In screen as normal and this time your login should work!
