Default Site/Warehouse for intercompany order

Hi all,

I need to check the default Site & Warehouse for the automatically created intercompany SO lines after adding lines from the corresponding intercompany PO.

I am aware that the Site & Warehouse from order header and item master' Default order settings will have effect on how they are defined on the automatically created order line.

However, when I have those Site & Warehouse in order header and Default order settings all blank, the newly created order line still has a particular Site set as default.

Is there any other setting that I can find this default Site/Warehouse?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same question (1)

    Hi again,

I agree.  It gives an incorrect impression.

    Hi Danny,

This is it! Thank you very much!

Although I find it a little bit odd that the Fallback warehouse does not set the Site and Warehouse itself to the order line but only the Site where it belongs to.

    Regards,

    Hello again Potato,

There is a FallBack warehouse option in the Inventory Management parameters that drive the site assignment on the Sales Order when no warehouse is specified on Customer, Sales order header or in Default Order settings :

You will find that you cant leave all the default Site settings empty; if you do, you will get this error on the Intercompany  Purchase Order (referring to the site on the interco Sales Order):

    Hi Mehdi, Danny,

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I did not set up default Site & Warehouse for the customer master and on the SO header these fields are also blank. However the SO line got a default Site and I don't know why, there is no customization and default order settings for items as well.

    Hello Potato,

For the intercompany customer, on the customer record, did you configure a Site & Warehouse?  These will be used on Sales Order header for that customer You find these under the Sales order default FastTab:

    Hi Patato,

There is a default setup you can use in the customer form or vendor form for and it will apply to the order header.

In your case for the intercompany vendor try this

    Kind Regards
