It’s usually because the account is still saved somewhere in your profile or cached credentials.
What’s worked for me in similar cases:
First, remove the account completely from Settings -> Accounts -> Email & accounts in Windows or from File -> Account Settings inside Outlook.
Then, clear saved credentials in Windows Credential Manager (look for entries with Outlook or your old email domain).
If it’s a company laptop or you once had the account tied to Azure AD, check Access work or school under Windows settings and disconnect it there, too.
Once all traces of that account are gone, the sign-in prompts should stop. If you’ve already done all this and it’s still nagging, it might be an autodiscover entry in your profile, removing and recreating your Outlook profile can usually take care of that.
