Hey!
I have followed the same steps but in my files tab that new and upload button is missing. I tries to add with the ribbon workbench but it didn't work. Can you please help me?
Power apps form designer not able to change the default view at this time. Here is a write up on how to default the view of the grid using customization.xml.
Hi,
Thanks so much for your detailed instructions Lu Hao on how to add a documents grid. I was wondering if it was possible to change the default view for the grid? We have multiple document locations and it would be fantastic if we could set the view per page so that only relevant documents were to show depending on which page our users were currently viewing. I don't seem to be able to change the view in the Powerapps form designer.
Thanks very much
Sam
Hi Subhash,
The folder is indeed not accessible in the Document subgrid, which is by design.
There is no Folder in "+New" in the subgrid, but "+New" in the Related Document tab has Folder.
To see the folder in the subgrid, the user needs to click on "See associated records", which will also jump to the Related Document tab.
I can see files in that grid but I am not able to see any folder in that sub grid.
I have created folder in SharePoint and uploaded file in that folder I am not able to see that Folders in subgrid
subgrid on the main form:
not able to see those "Document" and "Document 1" folder in SharePoint
thank you for the quick response. it worked perfectly. LuHao
Hi Subhash,
Sorry for the incompleteness of the previous answers.
We need to add Document sub-grid in the Power Apps, not in the classic interface.
Go to https://make.powerapps.com/, click Data > Entities, switch to Custom, open the entity.
Open the main form, add a subgrid, check "Show related records", select Document(Regarding). Save and publish.
I got your point but adding document location on the sub grid does not give the capability of uploading documents in SharePoint from main form itself.
like we have for leads and opportunity.
We have enabled document management for our custom entity.
But client don't want to navigate to "Related -> Document" they want SharePoint document tab on the main form itself.
