Estimating the Production Order Correctly

Hi Estimation Gurus!

I m using D365 FO. And I have following very Crucial questions regarding Costs in Production Estimates:

1- Can i somehow manually adjust cost in Production estimate? Through Trade agreements maintenance etc?

2- I purchase project specific materials and Batch cost/PO cost for current project for which i have created this production order is different from already maintained in Inventory. Can i get specific PO or Batch cost in Production order estimate? (By marking or somw other wayout)

3- I have a Project based Production Order which can go for more than an year. Can i run re Estimate after Production is started without reversing the status. I know there is Update cost feature in Periodic processing of Production control, but it doesn't work that way.

4- What are the impacts of variance in estimated and Actual cost after production order is ended, but FG was sold in previous periods?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Dolores

    Yes its overall requirement.

Although adjustment to estimated cost can be done through last cost price adjusment on Inventory form. or chang of cost in inventory Setup price.

    Hi,

I don't believe there is any way to manually adjust the estimated cost of the Production.   If 'use estimated cost' is enabled for report as finished, the goods will come into stock at the estimated cost. If they are then sold, this will be the estimated cost of the sale.  However, once you end the production order, if the actual cost is different, an inventory close or recalculation will adjust the sales cost.

Is the requirement to re-estimate the production order related to projects?

    Regards

    Dolores
