Hi Experts,

I want to add Newtonsoft.Json.dll to nav 2009R2. I have copied the .dll file and pasted in classic Add-in's folder and Service Add-in's folder.

Now I am trying to use that .dll as dotnet variable but I am getting error while opening from Global variables see below.

Json.png

---------------------------
Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic
---------------------------
.NET interop: exception occured, 'Could not load file or assembly 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Classic\Add-ins\Newtonsoft.Json.dll' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.'.

How to solve this please help me

Thank You

Mahesh U

Have you register the DLL ?

After copying the .DLL start restaring the NAV Service and the Client.

    Else refer below link:

    Mahesh U ,

You'll  have to upgrade the .NET

Seems there's a difference between the framework on which the assembly was made and the one you are trying to execute. Install the same version or the higher version.

Agree with other members. Install the same or higher framework than those for dll created.

On your Server and Client just download 4.5 Framework from Microsoft website and install it.

    Hi Suresh,

I am trying to install but it is saying that you already installed .net framework 4.5 or it is a part of operating system.

    Thank You
