Hi All,
I've reported the issue to Microsoft. And got the solution already :
1. if your environment is using 10.0.26 version or before ; we need to disable the "Asset leasing" feature
==> then the <Depreciation periods remaining> can be edit manually
2. if your environment is using 10.0.26 version or after, then the case had been solved.
i.e. even though "Asset leasing" feature enabled, <Depreciation periods remaining> can be edit manually

do you have any follow up about this issue ?
I also face the same problem:
- after manually update the value from 60 to 53, system automatically reverted back to 60.
Please advise the solution. thanks

Can you post the acquisition for the asset and then try to edit?

Is this issue solved? I also have the same issue. When I update the value in the 'Depreciation periods remaining' field, the value is changed to the original. If you know the answer, could you please share it here?

That is not a normal behavior. In my test environment this is working as expected and how it was like in AX 2012. Can you check if you have a customization in this area? If not, are you able to reproduce it in other environments?

With this depreciation method, the field should be enabled. In my environment this is working correctly. Can you check if a personalization, security permission setting or customization is preventing you from editing the value?
