Effective date of the version - ECM module

Hi all,

I'm testing the following scenario:

Item A (Engineering Product with only Version dimension) with 2 version:

C-01 - Version Active from 01st April to 30th April

C-02 - Version Active from 01st May

When I create a new sales order for Item A with requested ship date in the middle of May, I expected that the system allow me to sell C-02. But I receive an error:

"Item A has no version setup on "Today" and is therefore blocked for transactions."

If I change the Version, the system allow me to confirm the sales order.

Do you have any suggestion about it? It is the standard behavior?

RE: Effective date of the version - ECM module

    Hi Pierluigi,

I think that will not work with a requested ship date, Dynamics compares the version effective date with the sales order creation date.

    Regards,

    Laurens
