Vendor collaboration

Posted on by 520

Hi,

I created a vendor collaboration request in 1 company and was successfully submitted and completed.

But when I add the same vendor contact in another company there is a message that says "The vendor collaboration access setting has been successfully applied. However, the request to create a new user account was not submitted successfully. Please contact your system administrator.

Is vendor collaboration allow same vendor contact to be created in several entities?

I'm using D365 for Finance and Operation.

Pls advise.

Thank you.

    Hi .

We can create the same name but we cannot have the same Email ID.

If the Email already exist in the company. Then it will not allow the duplicates.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

As per my understanding user deletion will not effect created vendor in first request.

Please test this in test environment to make sure everything is fine.

    Thanks,

    Prem

    Hi Prem,

    Thanks for your immediate reply.

The 2nd request was not in the list for vendor collaboration request, only the first request was completed.

If I delete the user, will it be deleted in the 1st company that I assigned the vendor contact?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

That user is already created when you raised first request that is why system is unable to create same user on second request.

Check if the vendor contact user able to complete vendor information for second request with same user ID which he/she accessed for first request. Or try to delete the user(created on first request) and process 2nd request.

    Thanks,

    Prem
