ISV Blue horseshoe solution certificate issue with configuration value incorrect

Our company is upgrading blue horseshoe ISV package(Global order promising - GOP).
I got BH .axmodel file with .txt license file, because in 2019 our company was installed with source mode axmodel, instead of deployable package.
So, I fellow below steps in build DEV VM
  • Delete legacy GOP model by ModelUtil.exe
  • replace model
  • turn on maintenance mode by SQL axdbadmin password
  • import license
  • got below error, Importing license script shows "License value for Global order promising is incorrect".

When I compile, it also shows "GOPOrderRouting" configuration number is not existed.

Should BH provide us .cer file? .cer public key file should be embedded in AOT. If Blue horseshoe is creating new configure key value, then .cer as reference source file should be updated with this new configuration value as well. Logically .cer (new) should provide to our company(as customer), right? So this .cer file would be automatically be within .axmodel, or will need to give us separately?
Right now we are in trouble. BH didn't feedback any of my email.
The "GOPorderRouting" configuration value is error and I think it is NEW configuration value/number and without .cer file, we now can't finish compile.

Anyone has that experience about ISV solution ? .cer public key file should be updated and provided to us separately or it is in the .axmodel already?

RE: ISV Blue horseshoe solution certificate issue with configuration value incorrect

    Hi Jun,

Using a deployable package is the better way to go. I would suggest to contact Bluehorseshoe or your partner to get a deployable package and possibly an updated license file. For customers I would suggest to not relying on axmodel files as ISV solution. As ISV vendor, I would also not like to have customers build the solution themselves as there would be no guarantee that there are no differences. You might encounter a bug which could not be reproduced by the ISV vendor.

Note that the certificates used to generate licenses do have an expiry date. Usually, partners would acquire a certificate for three years, which is the maximum. Then the certificate needs to be renewed in the solution (job to be done by the ISV vendor) and you should get a new license based on the new certificate.

    www.yammer.com/.../

I post this issue at yammer as well.

Nikolaos Maenpaa is right .BH only gave us half of solution.

    GOP package has 2 module,

    - one is GOP model itself, <K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\GlobalOrderPromising>

    - another one is GOP license package/model.

    <K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\GlobalOrderPromisingLicense>

Right now I am think directly hard-copy GOP license package into K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\GlobalOrderPromisingLicense

I didn't know our company purchase history about GOP from Blue horseshoe. Importing model definitely is high risk. I got what you are saying. But currently our company has source code/model files of GOP, so we continue to keep it. That is all.

Thank you Andre, Nice and appreciate to get you reply here. I still remember your presentation in summit for production storage and tracking dimension. Thank again.

Yes, Blue horseshoe today sent us a separately file which is only related with GOP License module.

I will try to deploy this GOP license zip file in my Build Dev VM. Thanks.
