Enum value is 0 when assigned to list from list

Enum-assignment.png

If you can see the image you would be able to see the enum assignment from allowanceTypes.addEnd(headerInfo.AllowanceType) statement.

I have the debugger open and within the object returned from the client side headerInfo.Allowancetype = Sales. When being assigned to the list type enum variable allowanceTypes it give me a 0 in the debugger.

Does anyone know why this is?

I feel like this is some functionality I'm missing as I just had a similar problem with the listIterator type and the first element being unknown unless I call the method .moveNext() first.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi JGjinx,

Generally Enum will be stored in integer format in SQL.  Also, you are using list type for storing enum values, so you need to expand the list in the debugger and see all the values related to that list. 0 is nothing but a position of first record on the list.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

Thank you for your continued help Girish. I had the object and opened it in the debugger and where you would usually see the elements of the enum it was blank. Thanks for the explanation. Good to know it represents just the index.
