Item table (27) is not available to add in the Web Service

I'm working on the Items table (27) on the Configuration package.

I want to access those data from the OData  service , so I went to add new WebService for that 'Item' (27) table.

But I'm unable to find the objectID 27,

Instead, I found the tables name called 'Items' (31)  and 'Items(32).

both tables has the same datas but lesser fields.

Ex.,

Item(27) has 137 fields,

Items(31) has 38 fields,

Items(32) has  51 fields,

I need all access 137 fields in any of the OData Service.

How do list all the fields for Item table(27) on Web Service?

Anyone can help me please?

I have the same question (0)

For all fields you would need a custom object to expose all fields. This is something that would require development. Some resources for helping you do this: community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-create-custom-apis-for-business-central-even-from-macos

Like already mentioned, you need to create new query/page objects, using the development environment, and publish them as web services.

But, why would you need all fields????

Only import the fields in PBI that are really required. Having too many fields in a report makes the report very difficult to use and very confusing for users.

Ask the user what fields they really require and will use in the report, and only import those. Users always say they want all fields, but also always only use a few of them, trust me on this ;-)

For web services, you can only add the Pages, Codeunit, and Query, the one you are referring to 27 is a table and you cannot a table to the web service. 31 and 32 are pages and that is the reason you are seeing them in the list.  If you need all the fields in table 27 then as other mentioned you need to create a new custom page for table 27 and add all the fields to that page.

    Yes Steven Thanks for responding,

Actually I don't need all the fields now itself. I need the only the Picture field in the API, unfortunately its not available in the table items(31) and items(32).

Now I need Picture field. In future if i need any other field means, I need to add those to the existing API.

Currently it's not possible, or I should say, I did not find a way yet, to expose the picture fields via the odata web servies. You can put them in the query objects, but PowerBI only receives their id's and not the content.

There might be a way, but I need to investigate that deeper ;-)

Anyway, I think it is sub-optimal, regarding BC-DB sizes in Saas to keep the picture fields in the DB. It would be better to store them 'somewhere' else (for example Azure blob storage)  and then expose that to PowerBI.
