Bookable Resource Booking is searchable/indexable in Dataverse search?

The new feature Find Field Service information with enhanced search | Microsoft Learn , indicates "You can now find work orders based on the customer name, or find bookings based on a technician's name" - implying that the Bookable Resource Booking is searchable/indexable in Dataverse search, but I cannot see it in my demo environment. has anyone tried to explore this particular feature?

another article states this, but the option for Dataverse search still cannot be enabled . Am I missing something?

The following tables are indexed by default:

  • account
  • bookablereourcebooking
  • contact
  • incident
  • invoice
  • msdyn_agreement
  • msdyn_customerasset
  • msdyn_purchaseorder
  • msdyn_workorder

Each of these tables has several commonly used fields indexed. For example, msdyn_customerasset indexes msdyn_namemsdyn_product, and msdyn_functionallocation. To customize which fields are indexed for Dataverse search, edit the table's Quick Find View and add the fields to the Find by... section.

RE: Bookable Resource Booking is searchable/indexable in Dataverse search?

    Hi GrizzlyGlen

I reviewed the documentation - Use Dataverse search to find information - Dynamics 365 Field Service | Microsoft Learn and from the screenshot below, bookable resource booking should be indexed by default.

When I execute a search using the name of a Bookable Resource booking, I could not find any results and these were the entities from the Field Service solution.

I removed the name column/field from the quick find view, saved and published. Then added the name column/field back, saved and published; no difference in the results still.

As the documentation states that this functionality is in preview, it is plausible that the timeline for roll out has been rescheduled.

    Hi GrizzlyGlen

I have done some research and troubleshooting which I will detail here, I think you should raise a ticket to Microsoft support as the timeline for roll out of this feature might have been rescheduled.

Unfortunately not. I still do not see Bookable Resource Booking enabled for search.

    Hello Haig,

    yes, Dataverse search is enabled;

I would expect to see Bookable Resource Bookings in this list (Default Solution)

And I would expect to see the option available here, but it is not

    Hi GrizzlyGlen,

First of all, please make sure that you have configured Dataverse search:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/configure-relevance-search-organization#enable-dataverse-search

Next, add the corresponding index to the solution.
