Exclude beginning balance from YTD columns

Is it possible to exclude the beginning balance from a year to date column.  We are trying to create a YTD trial balance with a beginning balance (YTD\BB), debit (YTD), credit(YTD), and ending balance(YTD) column.  The report works, but we noticed that the beginning balances are included in the  (debit and credit) activity columns.  Without doing a series of calculated columns, is there an easy way to exclude the YTD component in the two activity columns?  Please advise.  Look forward to a response.

This is MR CU16

Just a quick update, we resolved the issue by creating non printing YTD/BB and YTD columns for both the debit and credit.  Then did a calculated column to subtract out the YTD/BB from the YTD column..

RE: Exclude beginning balance from YTD columns

    Hi JG,

Unfortunately, there is a not a way to exclude the beginning balance from a YTD column.  YTD columns will include the beginning balance.  You can do like you did and create a calculation and subtract out the beginning balance.  Or, you could add a Periodic column and then set the Period to 1:BASE.  That would pull in amounts from Period 1 to the base period (the period in the report), and would not include the BBF.
