Dear community, hello! We installed Project Operations but when try to see the "tasks" we see this message:

No Project subscription found
Looks like you don't have a subscription to Project. If you need one, contact your Office 365 admin.

But we think we have all the required licenses, including Project Plan 5.

Please any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi,

Licensing Guide says; with Project Operations subscription you have the right for Project for the Web as well...

Hence, we can say just login to project.microsoft.com and click the project which is going to direct you to the Project Operations again.

Hi HugoAndresMR  Sorry to follow up but could I just ask again so I can determine whether you and I are experiencing the same issue.  What you mean by 'all the required licences'?

Are you trying to access the Project Gantt in a Project Operations app with which one of the following?

    1. PP5 + Project Operations licence
    2. PP5 + Project Operations Team Member
    3. Just PP5 +

Would be very grateful for the clarification.

    Hi Ghdunn,

I don't know, this a question to Microsoft.

The Team Member does not give you access to the Gantt chart (P4W) inside Dynamics 365 PO, that I know.

    Cheers,

    Juan Simon

Hi Juan Simon Please see my questions back to OP.  If you are referring to the authentication workaround then in my experience it doesn't result in the error that the OP posted...

I simply get this:  login.microsoftonline.com refused to connect.

My question is about whether I should be able to access the gantt task view through the Project app with a Team Member licence + Project Plan 5 licence when the environment was set up for Project Operations.

Hi HugoAndresMR Sorry to come back on this but when you say 'all the required licences' what specifically are you referring to?

If you are referring to Project Operations, why do you think you need Project Plan 5...surely PftW is covered under PO.

I assumed what you were referring to is that you thought you should be able to access the Project app within an environment in which Project Operations was installed.  You wouldn't mind clarifying, would you?

My assumption is this:  If I have a user who has a Team Member licence and a Project Plan 5 licence, then they should be able to see not only the Team Member app but also the Project Task gantt view if they access through the Project app.  Is that what you were getting at?

    Hope that makes sense?

    Thanks

    Ged

In my experience two steps have always worked:

One) Assigning a Dynamics 365 Project Operations alicense and

Two) Access Caching.Verify that you can open www.project.microsoft.com  and by accessing or creating one in there it triggers the access.

    Please, mark this as answered.

    Thank you!

Yes...we have a ticket open on this currently as well HugoAndresMR  ,dynamikes365

We have noticed that the full Dynamics PO licence has an app component Project for Project Operations which the Team Member licence doesn't have.  So this may be a licensing problem.  That would be disappointing ...if the TM licence allows users to READ any table, and a Project Plan 1/3/5 allows them to access Project...I don't know why the Task gantt would be restricted.

    Any further thoughts welcome.

No. We started up another instance in a different tenant and everything worked fine.

I suspect it's some kind of provisioning issue that once it's broken they don't know how to fix it.

Do you mean you still do not have an answer on this? We have had a ticket open with MSFT for a month and they still can't figure it out. This is ridiculous.
