Data Entity Staging table not updated in Entity list

Hi,

I modified my Data Entity, by adding field on it. And Update Staging afterward. In my AOT I can see the new fields. Build and Synchronize.

Inside D365, go to Data Management - setting - Refresh Data Entity.

But it looks the staging table not being updated. In Data entity structure already saw my new fields. only at Structure and take a look at the mapping, I can see in the staging table didn't have my new fields.

Any advice how to update it.

Thanks

    Hi Wong,

How do you add field into entities or staing table? Add new field manually to each of them?

It didn't update when I tried to do this.

    -

You need to add field to the data source table first, and then drag and drop new field into the entity fields and the staging table.

    Build and Sync.

    Refresh Data Entity.

    Modify target mapping.

    Hi WWwong,

So you see new fields in Data entity list -> "Modify target mapping", but you don't see them in data project? In this case you just need to re-add entity to data project.

Modify/regenerating target mapping should work, alternatively could delete the entity from list and then add manually and suggest

    Hi Sergei,

No, I meant in the Data Entity list, in Modify Target Mapping button, over there are the field list including Staging field and Target field, right? the new fields not listed. And if I go to Mapping visualization, in the Target I saw my new fields, but no new fields in Staging field visualization.

    Thanks,

    Hi WWwong,

In this case, try to re-build the solution and sync DB again. Check that you don't have any errors during the build or sync (maybe even full sync). And try to regenerate mapping again as Blue Wang mentioned.

    By the way, you mentioned

"But it looks the staging table not being updated. In Data entity structure already saw my new fields. only at Structure and take a look at the mapping, I can see in the staging table didn't have my new fields."

Do you mean that you see field in mapping form for source part, but not for target?

    Hi WWwong,

    1. Try to double-check if you have field added to entity and to correct staging table (same as mentioned in entity property).

    2. Check if field is not disabled by configuration key

    3. Field is marked as visible on staging table.

    4. Fieid is marked as public on entity level
