Static V/S Dynamic plan

Hi, 
 
I understand theoretically that Static plan runs only once and doesn't looks for changes and is creates planned order in regenerative mode. Also dynamic plan runs in net change mode but how do you differentiate in the setup and how does the system knows the difference between those 2.

    You can set up the purpose of each Master plan in the Master planning parameters. There is a setting for Current static master plan and Current dynamic master plan. That is the way how the application knows what plan to use for what purpose.

    Hi,
    The purpose of dynamic and static split is to keep the plan static until the next run, dynamic is used to make changes during the transition period.     You can specify these settings on the master planning parameters page.
