Unable to close web resource html in IE

Hi Experts

  I am having issue with closing web resource closing. I am opening a popup in dynamics 365 it works fine in chrome and Edge.

I am using 

window.close(); to close the popup. This is not working in IE.

I tried open(location, '_self').close(); and window.setTimeout("window.close()", 1);

no luck.

Any help in this?

    Hi,

    Use navigateTo client api to open web resource which is OOB supported code and we can use code to close web resource.

    I have tested and the functionality below is working fine for me.

    BUG: You cannot close an Internet Explorer window by using the window.setTimeout(window.close,1) method in Windows XP Service Pack 2

    My OS is W10 Enterprise - Last public Update
