Thanks Leah,
You are right, we are using Project Based Quotes. But still wanted to block other closing. Do you have any workaround for it?
That will be really helpful.
We have checked by closing one of the quotes as Won related to opportunity and observed that all other quotes’ status remain as it is i.e. 'draft' so could you please let us know what exact steps you are performing, or can you check is there any background process executing which closing all other quotes like workflow, plugin or power automate flow, etc.
Thanks!
Hi HandeMV,
These quotes you are using are project-based quotes?
As the following documentation said, any other project quotes on the opportunity are automatically closed as Lost if you close one project quote as won.
How can I tell if it is a project-based quote?
Dynamics 365 relies on the Type (msdyn_ordertype) field of the Opportunity, Quote, Order, and Invoice entities to distinguish work-based versions of these entities from item-based and service-based versions.
The values in this option set field are as follows:
– Item Based: ‘Regular’ Sales Quote– Will load the ‘Quote’ form
I can close a separate quote in one opportunity.
– Work-Based: Project Quote– Will load the ‘Project Information’ quote form
Replicated your situation:
– Service-Maintenance Based: Field Service Quote– Will load the ‘Field Service Information’ quote form
Also can close a separate quote in one opportunity
So you can make the type field shown on the form to edit it:
