Insights cards that are available under Assistant (free)

Hi all,

Recently, I am trying out the Insights function in D365 Sales Hub, and would like to see what function is available without having Sales Insights license.

After some testing, I get to understand how Email Engagement and Auto Capture work with server-side sync enable with my mailbox, but I have doubts about Assistant (Free). For sure all the base cards are working fine, but for cards in other categories, some are working and some are not.

Example of cards that works: Meeting Today (Exchange), Upcoming Meeting (Exchange), Email Opened
Example of cards that do not work: Competitor Mentioned, Meeting Requested, No Activity with Account

I am enabling those cards available from this page in my testing.

For your reference, here is the version I am using.

Do any one of you have idea on which Insights cards can be used under Assistant (free)? Or did I miss any steps in my testing that make it fail to work?

Many Thanks!

Insights cards that are available under Assistant (free)
    Hello,

I have similar issue with the No activity with {record type} reminder insight card
I have Sales Enterprise license, and I was testing with No activity with lead insight card, set to notify after 1 day of no activity.
And I have a lead that was created in 3/2/2022 and ever since then, has not been updated, nor added any new activity. There is no parent entity to this lead.
After I enabled the No activity with lead reminder for more than 2 days, I still have not yet seen an assistant notification reminding me about this lead.

I am wonder the definition of "no activity" for this insight card, does that mean there were never any activities associated, or does it actually mean no new activity within the time period specified. I believe it is the later, but the fact that it is not working as imagined, I doubt if I have misunderstood the definition of it.

    Hi Newbiee,

The following are solutions from the Microsoft engineer.

Competitor Mentioned: The model that is running actually expects the word to not have any characters before and after it.

For example: Nishan is a Competitor, and customer's email contains Nishan.

"I am getting a better deal from Nishan, so I will go with them." It will not work.

"I am getting a better deal from Nishan so I will go with them." It will work.

Meeting Requested: It is a known issue that we have fixed already and it will be available in the first 2 environments by Monday 20th April.

No Activity with Account: It is possible that you have some opportunity/lead/contact etc who's parent is set to that account. So any activity with the child entity is also treated as activity with account.

If all child entities of the account have no activities, the No Activity with Account card of will work.

    Hi Ziyaan,

Thank you for your answer, I have read this site to understand how different cards work

    docs.microsoft.com/.../action-cards-reference

However, when I tried to send an email from an address associated with a Contact to my CRM user email with similar content as what you listed in 2), no card is created as result.

Thanks anyway and see if Hao can get any solution from MS Support with similar question.

    Best Regards,

    Newbiee

RE: Insights cards that are available under Assistant (free)

    Hi,

Most cards are created in different ways.

    For example:

    1) No activity with account card will be created if there has been NO activity with a particular account for 30 days (default). This value can be changed from Sales Insights settings -> Insight cards -> Select No activity with account card and change the value there.

    2) Meeting requested card will be generated, if you receive an email with certain phrases asking for a meeting. For example: If you receive an email with the text "Can we meet tomorrow for lunch?, it will create a card.

    3) Competitor mentioned card: Create a competitor (say CompanyA) and opportunity in CRM (don't link them). Send an email to a customer and set the regarding of the email to the created opportunity. If the customer replies something like: "I am getting a better deal from CompanyA, so I will go with them.", you should see this card in sometime.

Hope this helps. Do reach out if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,

    Ziyaan
