How to exclude BP Rule for label

Hi everyone,

While Build application, I often saw BP Rule warning, especially on my form, some FormStringControl : No label is given in the property.

How to exclude this BP Warning, because It is weird and I feel unnecessary since the field attached already has a label in its table. Sometime the field it self is an EDT which already has their label pre-defined.

Why it is consider BP warning ? I know it's just a warning, but if not mistaken this BP warning will be considered during Pre-Go Live checking, right ? it makes it looks bad.

Thanks,

    Hi Sergei,

Yes, in the same model, all custom fields and all have label on table fields. Have not check all custom fields since it is many also because not all meant for displaying.

    Thanks,

    Hi WWwong,

Are the form and new fields in the same model? Are all yellow fields custom fields and all have labels on table level and all fields are showing BP warning?

    Hi Sergei,

The 2nd, inside Tab Page - create group - set data source property - create control by dragging the fields from Data source node of the form it self (the left section).

I even set the Data source property of the Tab page it self, since I think it is no harm because this form only have 1 data source anyway.

So it is like this :

    Capture2.JPG

The Tab page and Group node, already set data source, and those highlighted are custom fields from the data source which is CustTable. And I can confirmed those fields in the table already set the Label which is a Label Id.

    Thanks,

    Hi WWwong,

You are correct and if the label is specified on the table field level, you don't need to specify it on the control level. But you don't see BP warning in this case too.

    >> The one in Orange is the node I specified the table I'm using as the Data source in its Data source property.

GroupGeneral - do you mean you specified Data group property or you just created group, set data source property, and created controls inside it manually?

    Hi Sergei,

Yes, it is, but it is for custom fields coming from table extensions. Label already set in that table field, so I don't think I need to put again in the form.

Upon your comment that it is FormStringControl for table field, I tried to put the  table in the form Tab Page and its Group node's Data source property, since the fields are inside the group node. But it's not helping. Still the BPWarning exist, saying something like this :

Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State

Warning BP Rule: [BPErrorLabelNotDefined]:Path: [dynamics://Form/MyCustomers/FormDesign/FormDesign/FormTabControl/TabHeader/FormTabPageControl/TabPageDetail/FormTabControl/TabDetailHeader/FormTabPageControl/TabDetailGeneral/FormGroupControl/GroupGeneral/FormComboBoxControl/CustTable_MyfField]:BPErrorLabelNotDefined: No label is given for the 'Label' property.MyCustomerViews (CUS) [Proj] K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\Project\AxForm\MyCustomers.xml 0

The one in Orange is the node I specified the table I'm using as the Data source in its Data source property.

    Thanks,

    Hi WWwong,

It's quite strange that FormStringControl for table field with label gives you BP warning. Are you sure that you are looking at correct property or correct control?
