Custom App V out of the box app

Hi guys,

Looking for some advice.

I built a custom app last year when we had to move from the old UI to the New UI. It was pretty much a straight copy of the one I had been using from Dynamics 365.

In order to get access to the customer app, my users need to have a Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise Edition license applied to them. This costs something like 80 euros per month. As the year went on and we hired more users, my IT team noticed that if we apply the license called (Microsoft Power Automate Free) to new hires then we didnt need to spend the 80 euros per month anymore. This users never came back to me saying they couldn't access elements of the system etc, everything they needed was there, so I think.

Recently Dynamics also launched the generic "Sales Professional" app which is an out of the box app too as I didnt create it.

So my question is this - should I go ahead and remove users that currently use the paid license (keeping a few for admins etc) and move these users to the Power Automate Free license? What are the beneifts (Cheaper for one) and the negatives to doing this does anyone know? What limitations am leaving for myself.

Would love to hear ye points on this.

Regards

Jason

    Hi Jason,

Since this question is related to license, I would recommend you contact the billing team.

You can find their contact information at the bottom of this page.
