Inventory value report usage in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps

Every cost accountant and inventory person would just love this new feature

Sharing steps to enable, configure, execute and consume

1)

Place to setup 'Inventory value reports'
Cost management > Inventory accounting policies setup

2)  If not seeing the menu then enable the feature

3) 

Define setup in cost management module  - setup - Inventory accounting policies setup - inventory value report

4) 

run from cost management module – inquiries & reports - Inventory value report storage

Create new record for every new execution and select ID as detailed value in parameters and specify from date and to date

5)

Remember to always run this in batch and after few mins a new entry would show up in the screen ‘Inventory value report storage’

Select the latest run and then click on view details
